The SHARE project will be drawing to a close at the end of November 2013. It has been providing opportunities for structured dialogue, exchange of practice and networking between cities and regional actors, and between experienced and emerging resettlement countries planning or considering resettlement.
At the conference in Brussels on 21-22 October 2013, we presented our innovative peer learning methodology, designed and used by the ImpleMentoring project.
EUROCITIES members Manchester and Tampere are involved in ImpleMentoring and SHARE, while our members Sheffield and Oulu are SHARE partners. All of these cities were represented at the conference, which gathered city authorities and civil society organisations from across Europe.
After a year of designing, refining and testing the mentoring approach to peer-learning between cities, we were able to show and share the benefits and added value of the ImpleMentoring method, which we shared with participants.
Many cities expressed an interest in becoming a mentor or an implementing city in the framework of a potential SHARE II project, in which EUROCITIES would be associated.
